This series is about the downfall of the circus family Waltz. As a result of a brain tumor, Willy Waltz senior is no longer able to keep his circus running. He has to find a successor in one of his three sons, but that is hard: they all do not seem to be the right candidate.
Aart Staartjes plays the role of Willy Waltz. Aart is best known from the Dutch Sesame Street. Comedian Theo Maassen plays Bruno Waltz. Theo was nominated for a Picture and Sound Award for “Best actor” in 2007. Barry Atsma has the role of Felix Waltz.
Waltz is directed by Norbert ter Hall. He was also nominated for a Picture and Sound Award in 2007. The series are written by Robert Alberdingk Thijm.
