In the first eight seasons, the series was mainly about the ups and downs of the two grandfathers Willem (Ben Hulsman) and Henry (Coen Flink) who ran a household together. While their own children (Marieke van der Pol and Hans Hoes) were making career, they take care of their teenage grandchildren Anna (Annette Barlo) and Rik (Matijs Jansen).
The series are directed by Nico Knapper. The scenarios are written by Chiem van Houweninge. Nico previously directed Zeg ‘ns Aaa, Medisch Centrum West and Ha die Pa! Chiem previously wrote scenarios of Zeg ‘ns Aaa, Cassata and Ieder zijn deel.
