According to Robert tells the story of GP Robert Finkelstein (played by Peter Blok) who has been a general practitioner for 25 years. His midlife crisis is always averted by his wife Jacqueline (Jacqueline Blom). At the moment the children are out of the house, there starts a crisis and Robert hit Jacqueline, she puts him out of the house for a year. Robert goes to live in the apartment of a couple of friends who live in Africa for a year, and he starts with therapy. This series has a follow up, called According to Jacqueline.
Peter Blok and Jacqueline Blom are the main characters, played as Robert and Jacqueline Finkelstein. Maria Goos wrote the scenarios. The direction was in the hands of Joram Lùˆrsen.
